Entertainment & useless technology!

This week, we talked about an article written by Ellen Degeneres and how certain forms of technology have made people lazy. Some examples she included were the microwave and Go Gurt. The microwave was put into new perspective for me. It really is scary that something that is normally cooked in 30 minutes is now cooked in about 2. We also discussed putting Peeps in the microwave just to watch them explode. Not only are we lazy Americans, but in some part of our minds we're also evil. The whole Go Gurt issue has just been a little overrated. Originally the food was meant for kids, but adults seem to enjoy it too. It's an easy method to eat yogurt on the go, especially while doing tasks that may need at least one hand such as driving. Ellen is definitely a funny character and has brought joy and laughter into thinking more intensely about certain technologies.
